An amazing day!

By | Family | No Comments

We had a fantastic day.  We no sooner got all the senior pictures taken when it started POURING DOWN RAIN!  We were glad we finished in time!  Then we headed to the outlet malls to see what we could see…  Then to a special dinner party for Gary’s work.  They had a very special fireworks show!  I was glad to meet up with my friend Sujata, and Gary is pictured above with Joe.

Downtown Disney with Gary!

By | Family | No Comments

After a day hanging out at the pool and then getting an extreme workout with my personal trainer (who I may have to ditch tomorrow because I can hardly move after today!), we went to Blues Brothers for dinner (I think the draw is the sweet potato fries!), and then to see Madagascar 2.  Madagascar 2 is definitely a movie that was NOT up mine and my husband’s alley, but Bethany and Angie loved it, so OK.  When we got…

Bethany’s Birthday in Florida!

By | Family | No Comments

We had a great day starting off at the pool.  We then had a great workout session:  Tae Bo, and then a lot of weights at the gym…  Then off to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom.  It was so fun there — it was “snowing” on Main Street.  We did everything from Buzz Lightyear’s ride to Mine Ride (3x).   It was a very Happy Birthday party for Bethany.   We were sad Gary was too busy…

Overflow or Outward Show???

By | Bible Studies | No Comments

Great note from Kim… “When the men were returning home after David had killed the Phillistine, the women came out from all the towns of Israel to meet King Saul with singing and dancing, with joyful songs and with tambourines and lutes. As they danced, they sang:‘Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.’ Saul was very angry; this refrain galled him. ‘They have credited David with tens of thousands,’ he thought, ‘but me with only thousands. What…

Fun in Florida

By | Family | No Comments

We had a fun day today.  Although it was difficult pulling the girls out of bed (we didn’t really get settled until after 2 a.m. from flying in), we made up for lost time.  Did an awesome Bible study, lounged around the pool, reading and doing puzzles, walked and ran and worked out (Bethany is my own personal trainer this week — ouch!), then went to Downtown Disney.  It was hilarious because we had Bethany’s iPhone GPS system and another…

Our 27th Anniversary!

By | Family | No Comments

Yep, 27 years ago I married my best friend, and guess what?!  He is STILL my best friend!!! I mean, this guy is AMAZING.  He is still SO MUCH FUN to be with (as long as I can distract him from his HP palm, which requires MUCH animation on my part!).  He comes in from an overseas trip, and when I backed into the garage, sure enough — he had CLEANED and organized all the stuff I had been throwing…

What Happened With our Election??!!

By | Bible Studies | No Comments

A GREAT message from Dutch Sheets: Greetings! November 6, 2008 I feel certain that many in my stream of the Church want a statement from me concerning Tuesday’s presidential election. I will be frank in my remarks but I do not, however, intend to vent anger or attack anyone. I have read several statements from friends and colleagues I respect very much.Their thoughts are well stated and, for the most part, insightful. None of them, however, seem to want to…

Community Christian Auction

By | Family | No Comments

I had so much fun at our Church auction.  I went with my parents, Mrs. Carollo, Mary and Russell Leone, Donna Alloy, and Rosie Nash.  It was a wonderful evening at Penna’s.  I was SO HAPPY to bump into Jason and Kristen and catch up with them, as well as several other friends I hadn’t seen in awhile.  I will make sure I don’t miss it next year!

Gilda’s Club

By | Family | No Comments

I LOVE going to Gilda’s and being inspired and inspiring my precious friends there.  Patti (top pic) has been coming with me for awhile now, and she is a breath of fresh air.  All our Gilda’s friends look forward to her coming!  Cherri (bottom) had her BRAND NEW 9-day old granddaughter there, and she even let us all hold her!   Although many people were able to come, we missed Judi and Gloria, who both couldn’t make it because of…
