Great note from Kim… “When the men were returning home after David had killed the Phillistine, the women came out from all the towns of Israel to meet King Saul with singing and dancing, with joyful songs and with tambourines and lutes. As they danced, they sang:‘Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.’ Saul was very angry; this refrain galled him. ‘They have credited David with tens of thousands,’ he thought, ‘but me with only thousands. What…
We had a fun day today. Although it was difficult pulling the girls out of bed (we didn’t really get settled until after 2 a.m. from flying in), we made up for lost time. Did an awesome Bible study, lounged around the pool, reading and doing puzzles, walked and ran and worked out (Bethany is my own personal trainer this week — ouch!), then went to Downtown Disney. It was hilarious because we had Bethany’s iPhone GPS system and another…
Yep, 27 years ago I married my best friend, and guess what?! He is STILL my best friend!!! I mean, this guy is AMAZING. He is still SO MUCH FUN to be with (as long as I can distract him from his HP palm, which requires MUCH animation on my part!). He comes in from an overseas trip, and when I backed into the garage, sure enough — he had CLEANED and organized all the stuff I had been throwing…
A GREAT message from Dutch Sheets: Greetings! November 6, 2008 I feel certain that many in my stream of the Church want a statement from me concerning Tuesday’s presidential election. I will be frank in my remarks but I do not, however, intend to vent anger or attack anyone. I have read several statements from friends and colleagues I respect very much.Their thoughts are well stated and, for the most part, insightful. None of them, however, seem to want to…
I had so much fun at our Church auction. I went with my parents, Mrs. Carollo, Mary and Russell Leone, Donna Alloy, and Rosie Nash. It was a wonderful evening at Penna’s. I was SO HAPPY to bump into Jason and Kristen and catch up with them, as well as several other friends I hadn’t seen in awhile. I will make sure I don’t miss it next year!
I LOVE going to Gilda’s and being inspired and inspiring my precious friends there. Patti (top pic) has been coming with me for awhile now, and she is a breath of fresh air. All our Gilda’s friends look forward to her coming! Cherri (bottom) had her BRAND NEW 9-day old granddaughter there, and she even let us all hold her! Although many people were able to come, we missed Judi and Gloria, who both couldn’t make it because of…
Great study from Kim! “I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil- this is the gift of God.” Ecclesiastes 3: 12-13 The key to happiness is finding CONTENTMENT in where you are and what you are doing! Our contentment comes from knowing God has a PURPOSE for each of our lives! There is a time for…
Today Julie and I went bike riding down the Clinton Huron trail all the way to Romeo, where we shopped a little on Main Street, went to lunch at a Chinese Restaurant and then biked all the way back. It was SO MUCH FUN. Can’t wait to take the trail that way again!
Great study from Kim! “Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3: 17 No matter what we do, no matter what happens to us, we are to GIVE THANKS to God our Father!! He makes everything bearable!! He turns everything into good for those who love Him!! (Rms. 8: 28) Let us give thanks for….…the abundance we have, … the…
Great Reminder from Gabe: I can’t believe that I’m writing this and although yesterdays outcome was not what I had anticipated it is now our job as Christians to stand up and support our next president. We must honor him in our speech and pray for him. Dom said it best, but just think what would happen if God got a grip on his life but so many of us have dismissed that from our mind. Remember that we have…
