Consequences….

By | Bible Studies | No Comments

A great reminder Bible study from Kim! “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6: 23 This verse is all about consequences! I have 3 grandsons (3,2, and a 1 year old) and their mothers teach them all about consequences. For every action we take there is a consequence (good or bad), whether we are a toddler or an adult. Our actions dictate our future in this…

Beautiful Almost Summer Day!

By | Family | No Comments

Today was such a great day! Started off just hanging around with Andrew (who spent the night after Danny’s Wings party last night) and Bethany. Then went on an apx. 20-mile bike ride with Julie — Did a bunch of chores, then off to grocery shop. When I came home, everyone was there hanging out, and Jesse was over getting his haircut. Made a quick dinner, and even Gary showed up! Now just hanging around with Bethany & Christa. Love…

30th Carollo-Girgenti Family Picnic

By | Family | No Comments

It was an amazing day, start to finish (actually even BEFORE the start!). BEFORE the start, the guys on our “team” all drove to Harsen’s Friday night to get everything ready for the big “PAJAMA party” (that was Mike Picc, Gary, Stephen & Michael). Of course, they always end up having their own party! Then first thing Saturday morning, up and attem to get to the picnic as early as possible. It was weird for me to be driving my…

A “Show of the Flesh” or “Living in the Spirit”?

By | Bible Studies | No Comments

Galatians 6.11-18 (see below) I. A show of the flesh requires adherence to rules to avoid the cross and its persecutionApplication: Have I picked up the cross fo Christ DAILY – denying the flesh to follow Christ in His ways? II. Glory in the cross – which by Christ the world is crucified unto me and me to the world – instead of glorying in keeping the law.Application: How is the world crucified unto me and how am I crucified…

A Well-Deserved Tribute

By | Bible Studies | No Comments

Colossians 4:17 …Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it. I was fortunate to attend a life-changing event the other night: a retirement party for Richard Mallino. What an amazing tribute to a man who has invested year upon year into Christian education. Richard had a vision to train children not only academically but spiritually as well. When it came time to send my children off to school, I was keenly aware…

Remembering Candace Lee

By | Family | No Comments

Today is a very sad day. I will be attending the funeral of a brave young lady, a classmate of Bethany’s, who died. All her life she had problems with her heart. Upon speaking to her on occasion at her home, her attitude was always to celebrate what she COULD do; she never focused on what she couldn’t do. 2 Corinthians 4.17-5.8 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and…

Trial of our Faith

By | Bible Studies | No Comments

Thanks to Kim for this great reminder! “who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire- may be proved genuine and may result…

Tour of Italy

By | Family | No Comments

It has been an amazing few days here. Started off in Rome touring all amazing places like where Peter & Paul walked, the Colaseum where gladiators fought and Christians were martyred. Stood where Julius Caesar stood and where Mussolini spoke. Was at Trevi Fountain where Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn made Roman Holiday. Pasta is the dish of choice here, or grilled fish, although any fish you THINK you know what it is, be ready for some surprises! Went to…
